National or local carpet cleaning company?
With lots of carpet cleaning companies advertising their services in Sussex, which one should you chose?
There has been a lot of debate over the years, National v Local, here are our thoughts on the matter ~
Carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning is a very personal occupation, we are invited into people’s homes and places of work, the issue of trust is of paramount importance, our customers want to know who is coming, they will like to see the people that visited on the previous occasion. With a National company or franchise company, it is very possible that staff will change regularly, or perhaps the person actually cleaning your carpets or rugs was a bus driver, builder or nurse one month before. We like to think that our service is backed up by years of experience, NCCA qualification and approval by ESCCÂ Trading Standards team.
Independent companies are not dictated to by franchise companies, they can choose the very best products and equipment. Large royalties taken by franchise owners isn’t paid by our customers either, we offer quality services at competitive rates.
From an environmental point of view too, we met a carpet cleaning operator recently that was employed by a National company, he was cleaning carpets for a large bank in Brighton, he explained that he had three hours work to do and then he would be on his way back to Derby, with quality carpet cleaning companies in this area, sending a man in a vehicle on a 500 mile round trip is madness, what would his carbon footprint have been? This is a regular occurrence, large supermarkets, banks, building societies, high street shops and offices are all doing this, they do not interact with local business unless they are on the profit receiving end of the transaction.
We always try to use local businesses and recommend local companies, this will ensure the local community has a real choice in years to come.
